Action potential
Action potential is a sudden event where the electrical membrane potential of a cell rapidly rises then falls.
It occurs during the firing of a neuron. The neural membrane first opens to allow +ions inside, causes a rapid increase in +charge of the nerve fiber, then electrical impulses carry down the nerve.

How the Nervous System works with other body systems
- Works with the Muscular System because muscle provide the brain with information
- Works with the Skeletal System because the skull protects the brain.
- Works with the Endocrine System because reproductive hormones affect the development of the Nervous System.
